DVT ppx: Compression boots on - working BEFORE induction of anesthesia
Side Table: None
Lights: Overhead door lights only
Power: None
Bovie Settings: 2 bovies, Teflon guarded tips, 30/30 setting
Preinjection: None
Prep: Chloraprep
Drapes: Universal (comes in a pack)
Instrument sets: Abdominoplasty set
Admission status: Overnight or same-day
Estimated time: 3 hrs
Coding: CPT = 15847 or 15830, ICD-9 = Z41.1
Post-op wound care: JP drain instruction, no bath for 10 days, shower okay
next day.
Post-op activity restrictions: No heavy exertion for 3 wks, remain in flux position while moving for 1 wk
Follow up: 1 wk

Special Instruments: Liposuction machine
Devices/Implants: .25% marcaine w 1/200k epinephrine
Hypodermic needles: 21 gauge
Syringes: 10 mL syringe
Drains: 2 #19 Blake drains
Suture: 0 Ethibond, 2-0 PDS, 2-0 Stratofix, 3-0 Stratofix, 4-0 Monocryl, 5-0 chromic
Anesthesia on field: 1% lidocaine 1/100 K epinephrine
Dressing: Derma bond, Telfa, Tegaderm
